About Pedro G. Morrison
Pedro G. Morrison dearly touched the lives of countless people during his lifetime. In addition to helping to develop Wellington, he was an avid polo player and patron of the Sympatico polo team. He saw the people around him as friends and helped others whenever he saw the opportunity.
He was in the prime of his life when he passed away at the polo field of his Sympatico Farm in Wellington. Pedro was a generous philanthropist and served many years on the board of the YMCA of the Palm Beaches. Pedro touched numerous lives through his charitable contributions, most of them geared towards helping children.
Pedro’s generosity and joy is now celebrated in an annual event that benefits the YMCA of the Palm Beaches. As a YMCA board member, Pedro held this organization dear to his heart because of the YMCA’s mission to cultivate responsible kids, strong families and a thriving community.
Polo with Pedro is a gratifying Sunday Brunch at the International Polo Club Palm Beach where friends old and new gather to support the YMCA. In 2005 we began hosting this tribute to Pedro to help continue his legacy of caring about others. All proceeds from this event help the YMCA of the Palm Beaches provide program and scholarship support. We look forward to sharing this event with you.
Polo with Pedro is in its ninth year of celebrating the life of Pedro Morrison and his commitment to the mission of the YMCA of the Palm Beaches. Approximately 400 guests from Palm Beach to Wellington join together to honor Pedro’s memory during the finals of the CV Whitney Cup. This event brings together the area’s finest philanthropists and sports enthusiasts for a cause that no one can deny is truly deserving; building Strong Kids, Strong Families and Strong Communities!
